I heard rumours that 12.4 was pretty stable without -9173 on osx 10.9.5.? So, to my knowledge, this is still being addressed by Avid. Regardless, I've had a number of interactions with support over this and about 3 months ago was told that there was a special team on it and that they were hoping for a resolution within 6 months. ![]() ![]() I got better performance years ago with a Digi 002 at a 64 buffer on a much less robust computer. Despite the improvement it's still very frustrating, especially when multitracking a band with zero plugins and a generous buffer of 128. In my experience 12.8 is better but I still have this problem of random 9XXX errors. Any non-"well use fewer plugins or buy a new computer" solutions? Never been a problem until 12.7 (I'm now on 12.8). ![]() Is there something I missed? Freezing tracks doesn't even really cut it, and I only have 2 plugins on my mix bus (MJUC and Waves EQP-1A). My CPU will fluctuate between 25 and 40% and then for no particular reason just spike to over 100% and stop playback. I'm POSITIVE this has been asked, but since Avid has theoretically resolved this and now two versions later it's still happening.
